Zhe represents spatial expansion and compression, inspired by Eastern folding philosophy and the idea of the crease. More than a physical act, folding reflects a way of thinking rooted in culture.

The design explores the possibilities of a single sheet of paper or fabric. Through folding, a flat surface gains volume, creates space, and carries traces of time and history—seen in Japanese origami, Chinese screens, and Korean bojagi.

Zhe captures the moment of a sheet in mid-fold, where creases define both form and structure. Its fabric shell and inner frame are digitally crafted to reduce material waste and simplify construction, reflecting a more sustainable approach to design.
